2 Corinthians 3:2-3
"You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."

I found these words very sobering as I read them this morning. It made me do a self examination asking myself do I live my life in such a way I reflect a letter from Christ to others? I long to do so from the depths of my being, but I know how often I fail. But our failures are a part of that letter. My letter is not written with ink, but by the Spirit of the living God written on my heart. My adequacy comes from Him alone.
Because I have experienced His love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness I am able to impart this in others lives helping them to become letters of Christ also to be read by all men.

This letter is not produced externally; it is a heart issue. The writting of the Holy Spirit must be allowed by each of us. Let us purpose this day to give of the Spirit and not our flesh. Letters of the flesh reaps corruption, but letters of the Spirit gives life and peace eternally.

In His love.

Spent the weekend at a "Beginning Forestry Landowners Retreat" in Abingdon, Virginia. I love the life that trees contribute in all our lives that most of us take for granted. I found this "Grandfather" and happily shed my shoes, and climbed up in his lap! What an amazing gift from my Father!
