1 Peter 2:25
"For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls."
Why are we so prone to wander from the God we love? There are many trials and temptations in this world to deceive and entice us away from our true Shepherd. I love how Peter described Jesus as our "Shepherd" and the "Guardian of our souls."
He is faithful to watch over His sheep, and I am greatly comforted with knowing He is guarding my soul. We cannot wander physically until we have wandered in our hearts. Therefore, let us guard our hearts with all diligence keeping Jesus as our first love staying nestled in His loving Spirit and keeping our minds saturated in the truth of His Words of Life.
Perhaps you have wandered this morning, and find yourself where you do not belong. Flee to the loving, open arms of the true Shepherd and Guardian of your soul. There you will find whatever you need as only He can give.
In His love.
Relishing in the beauty of the season!
