Psalm 72:12
"For He will deliver the needy when he cries for help, the afflicted also, and him who has no helper."

This Psalm is a prayer of Solomon who prayed earnestly to be a righteous King. We know he failed bitterly at times as all earthly leaders do. How wonderful to serve a king who is characterized by righteousness, peace, power, compassion, and prosperity. Our ultimate king of kings is King Jesus.

I love my King for who He loves. He loves the needy, the afflicted, and the one who has no helper. In my lifetime I have been all of the above and continue to be at times. When I cry out to my King He fulfills His promises, because unlike earthly leaders He cannot lie.

Are you needy this morning? He can and will meet the needs you have if you cry out to Him. There are many kinds of afflictions, and often we are alone in them, and we feel we have no helper; perhaps we don’t in the physical realm, but we are never without a helper as we cry out to Jesus. He is always our present help in time of trouble. Allow Him to be God in your life today, so He can fulfill His promises to you.
In His love.

"Let the mountains bring peace to the people." Psalm 72:3

How thankful I am for my mountains surrounding me with His peace and presence!
