"Again Jesus said, ‘Simon son of John, do you truly love me?’ He answered,"Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.’ Jesus said, "Feed My sheep.’"
John 21:16

If we follow Christ, we all become shepherds of sheep allegorically speaking. Immediately after making a decision to follow Him, He gave me a flock of young girls called "Missionettes." I dearly loved these young ladies, and I strived to feed them the Bread of Life. Later it was young singles, then young mothers and women’s Bibles studies.

I have spent a life time experiencing the unfailing love, guidance, and tender nurturing of the true Shepherd. As a result I have tried to answer the call of His shepherding heart, "Feed My sheep."

The greatest fulfillment of this calling was when I allowed Him to make me a mother of four incredible children. I knew my first priority was to feed my children a steady diet of the Words of the true Shepherd, and try to exemplify His love in their lives. Only He has a perfect love that will free them from all their fears. Only His words of truth can anchor them in the storms of life. Only through feeding them as He instructed to do, do I have the assurance of spending eternity where we were created to never be separated.

As we celebrate motherhood on this Mother’s Day perhaps you hear the Shepherd’s question He asked Peter after great failure as a sheep. We prove we love Him by loving others as He loves us. The ultimate opportunity is motherhood. I followed my Shepherd’s example as I laid down my life daily to teach and instruct my children. There is no greater joy or reward:

"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth."
3 John 4

Happy Mother’s Day to all natural and spiritual mothers who rule the world…
In His love.
