Psalm 38:14-15
Yes, I am like a man who does not hear, and in whose mouth are no arguments.
For I hope in You, O Lord; You will answer, O Lord my God.

If only I would be as David describes himself in an agonizing time in his life. If only I would learn to listen to no one but God Himself! If only I would remain mute, and in my mouth would be found no arguments. If all my hope was in my faithful God, and I believed He would answer it would be so.
Perhaps you too need to join me in beseeching the Lord for mercy and forgiveness on our journey to become like Him. He promises not only to forgive us, but also to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1John 1:9) Rest in His promises. They are always true because He cannot lie, and our God is full of lovingkindness and truth.
In His love.
