Lamentations 3:40
"Let us examine and probe our ways, and let us return to the Lord."
With Independence Day quickly approaching, remembering our history as a nation and all we stood for, this verse really spoke to my heart this morning. May we take the time to examine and probe our ways before the Lord. Let us return to Him and His ways for healing and true freedom as individuals that we might return to being the nation He created us to be. God help us to become the city set on a hill to bring forth light and truth to a world stumbling in the darkness. Let us return to our roots and the Christian foundation our great nation was built upon.

Finishing up our steamy, long distance run yesterday in Fourth of July temperatures and humidity, Lady Godiva and I cooled off in the pond before finally returning home!
