1 Peter 5:4
"And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory."

An unfading crown of glory…what are we striving for in this life that can compare with an unfading crown of glory when Jesus Himself will do the crowning? We are so distracted from messages the world is constantly sending to focus on external beauty like it is all that matters. If we live long enough we know and can observe external beauty is fleeting, but a beautiful countenance is eternal, and it comes from allowing the Holy Spirit dominion of your heart. In Acts 6:15 Stephen was described as having the face of an angel. What they were seeing was a man with a beautiful countenance full of the holy Spirit and God’s glory. The same was true of Moses when he returned to the people after being upon the mountain in God’s Presence. (Exodus 34:29-30) Whether male or female, let us place our focus on inward beauty that truly trumps the eternal which is fleeting. Inward beauty comes from being in the Presence of the One who can make all things beautiful. Seek intimate time alone in His Presence today, and become eternally beautiful!
In His love.

So often I see God’s glory and beauty in the faces of children. These children happen to be my precious grandchildren in whom my soul delights! I often see the character of God in my son, John David, as he exemplifies Christ like love to all of his family, especially his nieces and nephews 🙂 How blessed we are!
