"All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on earth. Hebrews 11:13

It is easy to get consumed by the hype of the temporal things of this world. Reading Hebrews 11 this morning helped me get things back in perspective. Perhaps we have forgotten as believers what God’s Word tells us. Hebrews 11:16 says:

"But as it is they desire a better country, that is a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them."

Maybe we all need to stop all the noise around us, and quiet ourselves with the promises of God and our eternal hope. Let us put our faith back where it belongs. Hebrews 11:3 states:

"By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the Word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible."

Do we really understand this? We must walk by faith in God and His Word as His disciples. Everything visible was created by what is invisible to us at this time. However creation screams loudly of the Invisible’s existence!

I encourage you to get out of the world and into the creation, and spend time meditating on His eternal promises as you saturate yourself in the beauty of the gifts He bestowed upon us for our pleasure. However, as wonderful as His beauty is on this earth we know there are no words in the English language to describe heaven — our eternal home.

Many of us are as the saints described in Hebrews, and perhaps we will not experience the fulfillment of prayers prayed for decades on this earth. Yet, we see them answered by faith and we welcome them from a distance. Perhaps you, like myself, are believing for the restoration of a broken family. I recently received the revelation it will be fulfilled in heaven if I never see it while occupying this earth. Receiving this revelation of the promise from the Holy Spirit totally changed my life miraculously! I no longer carry the heavy burden. I have been freed as I walk forward standing on our eternal promises from God. Then the Lord revealed not only my broken family, but also His family will be totally restored and healed also! We will become what He purchased through the blood of His Son. We will never sin again! We will be freed from the corruption of our flesh and be perfect as He is! All families have an opportunity to be restored eternally. Broken relationships will be totally healed! Our enemy satan, will be defeated being thrown into eternal damnation. (Revelation 20:10) Turn your heart toward home, and know when you do so, God is not ashamed to be called your God.
In His love.

It was easy to leave behind the cares of this world as I returned to the Virginia Creeper Trail again this week to complete biking the other half from Damacus to White Top, Va.
