Psalm 51:6-7
" Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, and in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom. Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow."

What can possibly be whiter than snow" According to David we can be on the inside deep in our innermost being in the hidden part of us. I relish in this truth as the first snow of the season often falls as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the sacrificial Lamb, who makes this promise a reality in our every day lives. As David confessed in verse 3 our sin is ever before us. No matter how much we love God, we still fail Him bitterly at times. The key is inviting the Holy Spirit of Truth in our innermost being and in the hidden parts that He might reveal truth as only He can. Through confession and repentance we are totally cleansed and forgiven, and made to gain wisdom in the hidden parts due to the Baby born in a manger.

What a glorious time of year as we experience the beauty and peace of our first snow of the season. Let us fill our hearts and minds with the promises of God’s love through our Savior, Jesus. No matter the sin, there is no evil that the perfect blood of Christ cannot cleanse, but make us whiter than snow from inside out. How tragic it would be not to receive and apply the Gift so freely given from our Father. Do not reject His Gift this Christmas Season!
In His love.
