"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place." 2 Corinthians 2:11
This verse reveals the great responsibility we have as believers to allow God to fulfill the beautiful truth of this verse through us. Firstly, we are promised to always be led in triumph through Christ in all things. God is willing to lead if we are willing to follow. Secondly, we are to manifest the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Christ in every place.
This verse is very thought provoking and hopefully will cause us to examine our lives as we sift them through the Word of God. There is always a way to triumph through Christ no matter how impossible it may seem in the natural realm. If we are willing to seek God through His Son He will reveal a way to triumph according to His Word.
This kind of devotion to Christ will allow us to usher in the sweet aroma of the knowledge and reality of Him in our lives in every place we go. This should be true of all of us. What higher thing do we have to offer one another? There is nothing greater or more needed than the reality of God’s love through His Son, Jesus. There is no relationship sweeter than the one we may share with God, our Father. May we all be filled with a passionate love of God that exudes the sweet aroma Paul speaks of every place we go as the scripture says.
