“This you know my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.”
Truly listening to others seems to be a lost art. We so often don’t even wait til someone stops speaking before we interrupt and talk over them. Often anger is the result. James clearly tells us our anger does not achieve the righteousness of God. May we all strive to be better listeners, not be so quick to speak, and try to control our anger. Proverbs 15:1 tells us a gentle answer turns away wrath. Then we are more able to follow His Spirit, and achieve the righteousness of God in one another’s lives.
In His love.
The New River was beautiful and peaceful returning home yesterday from West Jefferson. I love where I live!
