Psalm 119:169
"Let my cry come before You, O Lord; give me understanding according to Your Word."
Much of life confounds us, but nothing confounds me more than how differently two people’s perspective can be when experiencing the same encounter. We can never gain true understanding until we make a cry to God for understanding according to His Word, laying down all our preconceived ideas. We all claim we want the truth, but most times than not we want it according to our understanding. We are commanded not to lean to our own understanding in Proverbs 3:5. There is only one truth, and it lies in God’s Word, God’s way; not our own. We must come to a place where we love pleasing Him more than ourselves. Will you join me today in making it our cry before Him as David did?
