Psalm 46:1-2
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea.”
Do you need the reminder Psalm 46 gives us today as I do? Everywhere we look nothing stays the same. Nothing seems sure. Peace treaties are broken, marriage vows are broken, nothing holds value whether it be human life or the American dollar.
Lift up your eyes from this world that we seem to hold so dear, and focus on what is sure and will never change. God is our refuge and strength. He is a very present help in times of trouble, both small and large. Those who put their trust in Him have no reason to fear. The world is temporal. Let us focus on the eternal which holds a very secure future. Prepare for it, and stop allowing yourself to be distracted from all that matters.

We have a tendency to look over the everyday things of life and take all they offer for granted. God is not that way. If you are feeling insignificant know God loves the small, insignificant things in life including you and me. I had to stop and take a picture of what we so often take for granted in the beautiful area we live in.
