“My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed’ I will sing praise and give thanks.” Psalm 57:7
The word “fixed” means:
firmly in position, stationary; not subject to change or variation; constant; a fixed notion. David makes clear he made the greatest decision we ever make in life which is to set our hearts to seek God with all our heart and strength. True love pursues. God gives us the ultimate sacrifice of His only son in pursuing His lost children. He paid the ultimate sacrifice of His only Son in pursuing us.

What are we fixing our hearts to pursue as the Christmas season approaches? We must determine to stop the madness that matters so little, and focus on all that really matters when all is said and done. Make your family’s Christmas the best ever by joining David in preparing your heart:

“My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing praise  and give thanks.”

If we all set our hearts on loving Him, His love will pour forth from each of our hearts as we assemble our families. What greater gift can we give to the King  of Kings than our heart? What greater gift could we possibly give each other?
In His love.

There is no greater joy in life than quality time with my children and precious grandchildren. Many times while longing for these seldom times, my Heavenly Father reveals how His heart longs for His. God help us realize our longing hearts come from His.
