Jonah 4:2
He prayed to the Lord and said,”Please Lord, was not this what I said while I was still in my own country? Therefore in order to forestall this I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and one who relents concerning calamity.”

Jonah knew the goodness of God. We clearly see God’s heart for the lost people in the city of Nineveh as the people repented. The reason for their repentance was God sending a reluctant prophet, who God persuaded to go to this city of lost people living in darkness and sin. What hopeless lives! Heed the goodness and love of God, and be quick to repent as Nineveh was. His lovingkindness is greater than any sin you can commit! There is always forgiveness with true repentance. We must do the same, and follow our Savior.
In His love.

New River’s water level is much lower than last summer, but I still had a good run kayaking from Foster Falls to Allisonia.
